Redline Contemporary Art Center, Denver CO | Jan 2023
Tools Used: Adobe After Effects, Illustrator
In January 2023 I received the opportunity to create a motion graphic for the Woman, Life, Freedom: Gen Z exhibition hosted at Redline Contemporary Art Center in Denver. I was challenged with the goal of creating a finished work of graphical art within about one week. To meet the exhibition's themes, I decided to center my design around the Iranian singer Shervin Hajipour, who wrote the song “Baraye” based on the experiences of people protesting across Iran. With the feedback from other artists and designers within the exhibition, I was able to finalize the design within the deadline and present it at the show.
DU Community Commons Gallery, Denver, CO | Feb - April 2023
My design work surrounding the events in Iran continued at a gallery at the University of Denver. I was tasked with creating several more graphical pieces to display in the #WomanLifeFreedom: Iran Today exhibition. Similar to the previous piece I had created, I was able to collaborate with other artists and designers, and I was especially fortunate to speak multiple Iranian artists during a panel where we discussed our work and process.
